The Classic Editor, available on both 7.0 and 7.1 versions of Squarespace, was originally created in 2012. But with other website builders (like Showit), the potential for a platform with even more control and options was clear. I am so excited by this overhaul and would love to get your website upgraded!

Fluid Engine was released in the middle of 2022 and I’ve been playing with it for the past few months…getting my feet wet, learning how to customize it and truly utilize the new features. The actual drag-and-drop capability is a total game-changer in my mind, and my designer brain is loving the flexibility it now offers without custom code.

And they keep adding new things on the regular. We’ve now got a built-in accordion block (used to have to custom-code those), scrolling marquee for fun animation and bold headlines, shapes galore, and dividers with tons of options.

Now is a great time to upgrade!

Upgrade Options:

Basic FE Upgrade — $1200

Available for websites already on Squarespace 7.1 wanting to upgrade your editor to Fluid Engine.

  • Each section of every page will be upgraded

  • Current design elements will be converted to separate elements to overlap vs. all grouped together in an image block so you can use them over and over

  • Background banner images will be simplified and updated

  • Basic design and layout will stay the same for desktop

  • The mobile version of the site will be updated for better accessibility using the new mobile editor

  • Option to update your photos, and change your copyright date in your footer 😉

FE Upgrade + Design — $3000

Available for websites already on Squarespace 7.1 wanting to upgrade your editor to Fluid Engine + refresh your design.

  • Includes everything listed in Basic Upgrade

  • Perfect if it’s been a couple of years since you last touched your website design

  • Let’s add new photos, update your messaging, add a new opt-in for your newsletter list, and more

  • Build excitement for your audience with a “relaunch” of your site and have access to all of Squarespace’s new features

FE Upgrade from 7.0 — $4000

Available for websites currently on Legacy Squarespace 7.0 wanting to upgrade your editor to Fluid Engine + refresh your design.

  • Includes everything listed in Basic Upgrade

  • Perfect if your website is currently using the old Classic Editor on the 7.0 platform

  • This allows us to completely rebuild your website on the new platform and utilize all the features offered with Fluid Engine

  • Let’s refresh your photos, update your offers, add new team members and reconnect your Instagram feed (pesky tech gremlins)

  • A great way to refresh your website to the newest tech without a complete custom overhaul
